T&i :- Thoughts & Ideas

We first learn to communicate by sight and sound. We recognize those around us. You know, Mom, Dad, Sisters, Brothers and the rest of the close and extended families.  Identified by sounds, Couche couche coo, and facial expressions showing exaggerated expressions. What person hasn’t made a face at a baby and talked liked a munchkin? As we grow older, we imitate those around us. Parents being the first we imitate, then cousins and friends as we reach age mile stones. 5, 10, 13, etc.

With both parents in a household having to work to provide, today many kids are left to govern for themselves bringing new meaning to latch key kids. Because the new baby sitter has become the internet we need to ensure kids understand truly about being safe and protective of private personal information.  Without parental controls, those we imitate might not be what we want to have happen. Some 6 year olds know more about the birds and the bees ( in a wrong way ) then their parents most likely ever learned. I’ve seen a lot of the new shows and many push the boundaries of what young people should be watching. Even Disney portrays kids in dumb downed fashion with some of their shows.

So, to help influence what your kids do and we’re not perfect, be parents and not the best friend of your kid.  My opinion is that this will teach your kids more respect for you and others. The cultivation of a young mind is precious and should not go unguided. Joseph Kravis

It’s up to us.
