The Well Misunderstood
The well is often a misunderstood thought or feeling. Yup fooled ya, thought I’d talk about the pretty girl and well water. Didn’t ya? Nope not this time. 🙂 I’m not a psychologist not any kind of ist. But, family members had some wisdom that they passed along to us. Not all of it I understood at the time.
Many Years Later
But, now many years later I can see what was finally meant by “going to the well once too often”. Keep on keeping on as they say. Doing the same things over and over again expecting different results.
Serious Side Effects
One point of view can have serious side effects. And, when what seems to be good luck finally ends what are you going to do? For some that should be a wakeup call and the opportunity to make things right with yourself. Slapped down and humbled by our stupidity and yet next week back to doing the sameo sameo. Eventually the well will dry up.
How about family members who constantly do non-serious life blunders. Taking advantage of love’s boundaries. Hey help me out here? Help me out there. I’m in need of gas can you help me out. Yeah, I know that family is supposed to help out unconditionally or are they?
Nevertheless We Do
Not really but the majority of us do. We have rip van winkles in our mist. The well will dry of for them too and that will be sad. But, I have lasting confidence that our “wells” are temporary in nature and that life’s lessons do catch up.
And, of course we all want to live well! Just some ramblings.
We all have a few warts.
God gave us the gift of life; it is up to us to give ourselves the gift of living well. Voltaire
