Growing up we had very limited television shows and most were in black and white. That meant we read a lot of books not only in the summer but year round. We learned to read maps for travel across the states. Reading road signs along the way, we’d play word bingo. What family hasn’t? 🙂
And, the NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC! Right! Also, have paid my share of late fees and fines. My grandmother loved Zane Grey and Allister McLean novels. And, with her being a school teacher we all read.
