A Mayan Vacation

In the heart of summertime’s splendid embrace, many of us find ourselves caught up in the sweet reverie of vacation! As the sun gilds our days with warmth, and the daisies dance to the rhythm of soft, balmy breezes, there’s a whispering anticipation, an itch for adventure, calling from the horizon of the upcoming fall. And lo and behold! A delightful three-day weekend is knocking at our doors, promising sweet respite!

Mayan Vacation, love, peace, travel, contentment

Now, allow me to pose a question, as gently as a petal falling onto a lily pad – where, oh where, are your footsteps yearning to tread this year? My mind, I confess, has been serenading the idea of circumnavigating the globe, in a grand and jovial jaunt. A cruise around the world! Or perhaps seizing an ‘around the world’ plane ticket, which, in essence, is a magic carpet ride disguised as an airline boarding pass. Doesn’t that echo with fun as loudly as a cackle in a canyon?

But wait, this solitary traveller must not tread these paths alone! What an undertaking it would be! A trusty companion is in order, someone to share in the laughter, the awe, the moments that will be scribbled into the diary of our lives. Indeed, the quest for a merry wanderlust-stricken companion must commence!

Another musing of mine, dear reader, is to trace the ancient steps of the Mayans, to stand amongst the stoic, stone guardians of history, their ruins. This year, perchance? In the grand dance of time and possibility, who knows?

So, here we are, summer upon us, whispers of fall teasing our dreams, the thrill of potential voyages singing in our hearts. But I find myself compelled to ask – What about you? Where is the compass of your curiosity pointing?
