I could sense the eerie feeling of the shadows beyond the courtyard. They stood before me towering below the night sky. Hands began to tremble and the thunderous sounds of my heart could only me one thing. . . I would be discovered by what lurks within those silent shades. To calm myself, I remember the warm feeling I felt when my mother would recite the following, Shut up you little shit. 🙂
