Independence Day July 4th 1776. Generations ago, on August 2, 1776 the declaration of independence was signed by 56 patriots at the Pennsylvania State House, Independence Hall in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

This years independence day will have special meaning for a lot of Americans. What will be hailed as a black mark in american politics has been #russiangate. A multiyear and multi-million dollar project where all Americans have suffered. In the end no collusion found for the Trump presidency. Another reason for a special Independence Day!

However what does it truly mean to be free in modern american societies? Not only american societies, but for global societies. It’s clear that major events that take place in america are felt across the entire globe. So, what is freedom?

Freedom is becoming something that most people feel is slowly eroding. Unlike history before us, we have an unprecedented amount of our personal data that should be private but is not private and sometimes that data is being sold, stolen or lost from the very services that wants our trust.

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY! July 4TH
