She’s just getting started. Well, I actually mean the month of October is just getting started. As the days get shorter and the temperatures start sliding colder and colder still, I bundle up the best I can.

And now that October is here! And, all along the watch tower. Oops wrong placement. 🙂 Well, it’s time for candy with all the sweetness we can muster to hide the candy from the kids and slowly and discretely by helping them complete the treasured bits and bites.

We should let them eat it all at one time? Or little by little until it’s all gone?

Don’t know. But, if there is any left yum.

I have come to regard November as the older, harder man’s October. I appreciate the early darkness and cooler temperatures. It puts my mind in a different place than October. It is a month for a quieter, slightly more subdued celebration of summer’s death as winter tightens its grip. Henry Rollins
