What, exactly, are you doing?”
There was a pause, and then she smiled again.
“I was thinking of this, you see. When I first started playing with it I was thinking of how different it would be if we had kids. I had no idea how far this would reach.”
Breath Deep
She took a deep breath and said it again.
“It had a big impact on me, because at that point I had already been playing with it for a couple of days, and I knew it was something I’d love, so I thought, ‘well, let’s try to get to it first thing tomorrow morning. When I have the time and it’s quiet, maybe I can run it into the garage before it gets too cold and I can get it warmed up before it’s too long’.”
At her explanation, I couldn’t help but smile. It was her first step into a world she’d longed to be a part of, and she was doing it with that wonderful heart.
Accept Yourself
If she was able to accept herself, she might even be able to accept herself.
She could do the most amazing thing if she let go of the “I’m so bad” mindset, and just accept herself for who she was.
That’s what she was getting at. I had to let go of my “I’m bad” mindset, too.
She was an adult, and she had to start living life. I had to do the same.
“I have to accept myself.”
But I didn’t.
“I’m so bad.”
Think More Or Less
I would rather think a lot more about that, and start living.
“This life is mine!”
It was a lie, but it was true.
“I will be happy if you accept yourself.”
I started living life on my own terms. You could live a happy life being yourself, and that was true. Maybe, just maybe, being yourself wouldn’t be such a bad thing.
Everything is crystal, magical and departing…
