The Essence of Us
We embraced each other as if for the last time. Not seeing the face but feeling the breath going in and out along with the tender pounding of hearts beating as one. In that moment, our souls intertwined, transcending the boundaries of time and space. A sense of unity and love enveloped us, making our fears and insecurities dissipate like morning fog under the warmth of the rising sun.
