Chair of Memories

Chair of Memories.

As the final sliver of the sun slips under the horizon’s edge, my shadow stretches out, a lone silhouette amidst the dunes. But the sunset’s melancholic beauty doesn’t sorrow me; rather, it fills me with a profound peace. For, as an empty chair, I am a testament to love that once was and still is, a love that endures, that remains, even when the one it belonged to has left the stage. As night arrives, stars sparkling like distant memories, I stand unalone in my loneliness, an empty chair filled with the fullness of love and longing. Joseph Kravis.
