3DART :- Graffiti Backgrounds

If you’re like me then you have a camera with you at all times. Either on phone or yes, I lug the big cameras around too! I’m still shooting with my Canon 5D, 7D, 40D as my primary cameras. Each to do different things with. I’ve also been adding an assortment of Russian Lenses to the kit. I especially like the Helios 44-2. With an adapter (p42 mount)  you can get some pretty darn cool effects.   Such as this image that a nice kind of circular bokeh.  It is a manual lens so some experimenting is a good thing.  I have some more using this lens on https://www.flickr.com/photos/josephkravis/.

Anyway, I’m including a couple of backgrounds that I took of some graffiti near an abandoned railroad tunnel. I used the 5D with the Helios 44-2. I was close enough so no bokeh on these images.  Until I figure out where to store the larger sized files for download please let me know if you’ve used them as a background in one of your projects.

For a review of the Helios lens, I thought this guy did a pretty good review. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d5pjD_akRR8

  1. I don’t use the big cameras much right now. But, I still like getting them out for photos when I do get the chance!
